Jamieson Hodgson, Founder
Jamieson is an entrepreneur and investor who has a wealth of experience in building businesses. He started his first business, Low Cost Flying, at the age of 18.
He is most well-known for his work in building the Memoria Group – a private funeral business which operates cemeteries and crematoria across the UK as well as being one of the first online Funeral Directors. Jamieson was inspirational in securing multiple complex planning consents (a significant number at Public Inquiry where he was a specialist witness). Prior to starting Shawfield & Sloane, as an entrepreneur, he had personally recruited over 1,000 people.
Jamieson has a particular interest in real estate opportunities and has invested in numerous travel / hospitality businesses. He has served on many diverse boards and has an extensive experience in delivering C-Suite Executive search.
Emma Sims, Partner
Emma is an experienced recruiter with an extensive background in Executive search, Real Estate and hospitality. She has had a particular focus in the Real Estate industry and recruited across the entire property life cycle worldwide, placing C-suite down to entry level staff across in property-backed Private Equity, investment, development, and asset management businesses. She takes great pride in the fact she delivers highly specific solutions for clients and thrives in seeing the successes of her candidates and clients – this gives her the ultimate job satisfaction.
Over the last 15 years she has formed a wide network of international contacts and built long standing relationships with major international hotel owners, developers, operators and asset managers. Combining her passion for property, hospitality and people she thrives at connecting talent. She demonstrates an exceptional ability to interpret client needs and seek out the best individuals.
